Last year I bought some credits for National Archivist as I wanted to look up a divorce case. I paid my money, took down the details and then trotted merrily off to the National Archives in Kew. After playing the Krypton Factor with all the boxes and cards and struggling with the devilishly complicated microfiche readers I was none the wiser. The number on the website seemed to bear no particular relationship to anything at Kew. I've also searched the catalogue on the National Archives website and can't find my case. Am I being daft? Is there something I am not understanding? Any advice welcome.

I am interested in Angliss and variants anywhere but particularly Coventry and the rest of Warwickshire. Please have a look at mywebsite at www. anglissfamily.co.uk for more information. Also interested in Cramp and Burnett (Warwickshire) and Hayward (Lower Slaughter, Gloucestershire)
I was thinking of doing a thread about this too. I would be very interested to hear about any success stories. I was going to use the site to look up death duties, but I am a bit hesitant.
I have tried it online but no luck with any of mine. I'd be very reluctant to schlep all the way to London if there was no need.
