Can anyone help me with the actual date of death of this lady please? I have found a record in the Dec Qtr 1883, Wolverhampton but this doesn't give me the actual day. Many thanks.

Hi Bryt

Having found the quarter entry for the death, you have to send off to Wolverhampton Registry Office (check it out at Genuki or google it) for the certficate quoting the quarter and year ref, the vol and page no is only for Southport where they have copies sent by the registrars from around the country.  Usually the turn around is less than a week for the cert as opposed to 4 from the GRO at Southport.  You can also check the parish registers for the various churches but you need to know what area of Wolverhampton they lived (will be on the death cert).  This will give a burial date, and you may be able to find an MI either online or at the Archives in Wovlerhampton along with the parish registers.
