Hi, Does anypne know where i can find out, if possible, if there were any log books taken by the schools in Selkirk around the late 1800's early 1900's time period?

Thats the problem i don't know which school they attended, i know the children where all born and schooled in Selkirk from the census. I have contacted the Scottish Border Archives and they sent me an application form for a search, i think though that they will have to check every school log book in that area to find them. Dawn

I'm interested in the late 1800's early 1900 time period, they were all born in the 1870's and 1880's so they were all at school in this time period. They lived in the Castle Street area/Kirkwynd area of Selkirk according to the census. Dawn

I have e-mailed them a few times but no one ever seems to reply back. I might give them a ring if nothing happens this time.

hi the new scottish borders archive centre is opening in hawick at the end of may. I went for a lokk on the open day a few weeks ago and it looks good. they said that all the archive info for the scottish borders will be kept there, not just those for hawick.
