South Africa - Cork
« on: Thursday 27 October 05 21:06 BST (UK) »

Can anyone please tell me if there are any surviving records of immigrants arriving in Cork in the 1830s?   My GGG Grandfather James Lovett born 1814 SA married an Ann Malaughney born in Ireland abt 1821  (I have still to find her baptism record and the marriage).  I have been told that there was a shipping line between S.Africa and Cork in the 1830s.  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks, Lainey
