Trying to locate information on the Wickens family that migrated from Scotland to Sussex, Essex, Kent and on to America.

My question is one of roots. Gaelic, Celtic or? Huh

A good site for Sussex is www.sussexweald.org/home.
However I tried to access the site to see how many Wickens are in their database but I think they are down for maintenance at the mo.If you happen to have a Winifred married to a William Carter in East Sussex let me know..
