The only Jane Kirkbride I can find born Cumberland in 1866 was born and is living in Newton Reigny.
Please give her father's name and occupation from the marriage certificate as this will help identify them.

sorry dont have her fathers name, only that her mother was called Helen, i know they did live at newto reigny though!

Another name of a family member is almost always essential to be sure of getting the right family. Helen clinches it, wish I'd known before.

Helen doesn't seem to be in England or at least not married anyway, in 1861, your best place to look might well be Scotlandspeople, but to get her husband's name the easiest way would be to get Jane's birth certificate.

Using this reference you can get it online at www.gro.gov.uk at a cost of £7. You can add a criteria if you want to your order, stating the mother's name as Helen, so that if this is the wrong Jane then will refund part of your money and just keep half for a search fee.
