hello fellow researchers,
I wonder if anyone knows of a patrick mccaulay/mccauley who had a son(my Paternal grandfather) john mccauley as on John's marriage  to my grandmother. Certificate states that patrick mccauley was deceased at the time of marriage in 1901.
I know of another patrick mccauley who lived in Stirling in 1963/4 but as yet have been unable to establish any possible link.

I have traced my Macaulay's back to Scotland, Dundee or something it said on the 1901 Census, I do know that there are a lot of Macaulay's in Scotland, as my cousin married a James Macaulay from there.
But I was just wondering if there could be a connection to my James Macaulay born 1842, whose father was a Robert.
You never know.
