Thanks Annie, I only hope he can be identified! I always feel sad when I see photos of soldiers without names... One other thing...how on earth did he keep that hat on his head

Hi Caroline,
You might try contacting the two major television stations in Canada.
Their websites are
http://www.cbc.ca/
http://www.ctv.ca/
Also the 'Montreal Gazette' newspaper at
http://www.canada.com/montreal/montrealgazette/index.html
The 'Royal Canadian Legion' also has a website as well http://www.legion.ca/
If you do decide to submit this information, I have looked up their details along with family member names, so that you can give them as much information as possible.
JOSEPH ARTHUR EDMOND GROULX Service Number: R/111476 Age: 22 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of Arthur and Alexandrine Groulx, of Hull, Province of Quebec, Canada.
JOSEPH LIONEL UNDERIC DU SABLON Service Number: R/174038 Age: 20 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of Lionel Olivier and Mary Lea Du Sablon, of De Gaspe, Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.
JOSEPH PAUL ERNEST BURKE Service Number: R/206904 Age: 20 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of William and Dorine Burke, of West Bathurst, Gloucester Co., New Brunswick. Canada.
WILLIAM JOSEPH ALLISON Service Number: J/20861 Age: 28 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of William Earle Allison and Mary Ruth Allison, of Montreal, Province of Quebec. Canada.
JULES ROBERT RENE VILLENEUVE Service Number: R/199834 Age: 22 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of Jean B. Villeneuve and Clara Villeneuve, of Verdun, Province of Quebec. Canada.
CHARLES HAMEL Service Number: J/92169 Age: 21 Force: Air Force Unit: Royal Canadian Air Force Son of Dr. Paul Hamel, and of Bertha Ellen Hamel, of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.
With Remembrance Day coming up, there is an excellent chance of the television stations, as well as the major newspapers in Canada posting this picture with your story. Here a some of the national newspapers.
National Post http://www.canada.com/national/nationalpost/index.html
Globe & Mail http://www.theglobeandmail.com/
The Sun (I have given you the link for the Toronto paper, although you can ask them to place it in all their papers across Canada.) http://www.torontosun.com/
I think that this is a wonderful thing you are doing. Good Luck!
Janice

I hope that this map link works, contains rather a long URL. You may need to cut and paste it into your browser, and also suggest zooming back to a lower scale map.
Location Map of Crash
It should show the map reference. The crash location is about where the 'c' is in the word 'Goch' on the map.
Perhaps 15 years ago I was a member of the local ramblers association here is Swansea and walked to this location, quite a trek to get to it.

I'm still working on this, but I don't think that pic is Of our crew - it is 408 SQDN who were based at either Leeming or Linton on Ouze. I'm not sure thou what our Sqdn was - though they were based at Wellesbourne. Denn. Hamel was the pilot
