REYNOLDS William 1803 Pertenhall, Bedfordshire

Hi Listers

I wonder if anyone could help me please. My ancestor William Reynolds born 1803 at Pertenhall, Beds, I have his birth and christening.  On the 1851 census there's a William Reynolds there and the place he was born is Peterhale Huntingdon.  Could someone please tell me whether there is such a place.

Also when you look at some other census's his birth is down has 1804/1805, could this still be my William.

It is very difficult for me with me living up north and geography wasn't one of my strong subjects at school.

I do apologise after looking through my replies I find that Pertenhall comes under Huntingdonshire.  The place on the 1851 census is Parkerhale Huntingdon

After looking through my Bedfordshire site, I have realised that Pertenhall came under Huntingdonshire.

I do apologise.  Also the name of the place was Parkerhale, Bedfordshire.

Hi Gillian,  I reckon on 1851 Parkerhale, Beds is meant to be Pertenhall, as this is where William Reynolds states his birthplace on later censuses. Parkerhale does not exist in Beds or Hunts. & as far as I'm aware Pertenhall IS in Bedfordshire,
