Hi Linda

What's a PM? Thanks, now how do I access it?

In the meantime having found only 1 McGoohan family in Aghoo (or Aughoo as it is/was more recently spelt) according to Griffiths 1856, I'm going to try again, but spell it Magoohan.

I will do the same with my mother's name so McGover becomes Magauvern. I saw this latter spelling somewhere as I was looking for McGoverns, it occurred to me that the same tack might help you with your McGoohan searches.

Both these alternate spelling more accurately reflect the way I heard older relatives pronunciation.

Hi Mari,
A PM is a private email.  take your mouse and go over to the left hand side beside your profile and it is the on next to it.  you have to put a post 3 times on the site to PM someone.  I will send you one with my email address.
I just remembered that you need to post again so I can send you an email.  So if you just add to this bit, I can email you..... Shocked

Hello Jane,
If you are still able to help I would be most grateful if you would be able to do a lookup for me.
On the death certificate for Richard GREEN died 5 April 1870, District of Linlithgow, county of Linlithgow.
The address where he died just has Cross, Linlithgow.
I would love to know where he is buired though I doubt if there will be a headstone but you have to try everything.

Hi Margaret

Slamannan is in Stirlingshire not West Lothian

Perhaps you should post again on the Stirlingshire section

Best wishes

Hi Jean

I wonder if you could check for any HARDIE or HARDY or LOVE  in Bo'ness please.

The dates would probably be between 1770 and 1800.  John HARDIE and HElen LOVE had their first? child there in 1797 and I am trying to find if there were any previous. Also I am trying to find if there is any family connection to Bo'ness for them

Many thanks

I have ancestors - Honeymans located in Leitrim (Lisnatullagh).  I would be glad to correspond with you.  My Grandfather (a McGovern from County Cavan) married a Honeyman of Leitrim (Drumarigna Townland).
