Hi Victoria Grin

I had a similar incident with my great grandfather's death certificate for 1943. The address where the death took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland appeared to be a private home but, after enquiries, turned out to be the Belfast City Hospital.

Maybe it's the same in your grandfather's case. Well, not the Belfast Hospital Grin but a hospital nevertheless!

Cheers

Hi Victoria,
It could be Walton Hospital, I don't know when it was built but I know it on Rice Lane in Liverpool.
Hope this helps
