I would like some help in stablishing the name of the lady my 4 x gt Grandfather married.  He was Thomas Middleton born in Stowe, Hunts 1821 and married Mary ? Huh who was born in Castle Bysham, Lincs.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The usual way of finding a marriage would be to trawl through the GRO indexes on either FreeBMD http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
or use a pay per view site such as www.1837online.com or check the indexes on fiche at your nearest LDS Family History centre or main library

I assume you have taken the information from the 1851 census, where they had a 5 year old child - indicating a marriage of perhaps 1844-46

On FreeBMD 1844 is only about half transcribed and the second half of 1845 has been barely started, so I think 1837 is your best bet - but that will not give you the lady's name.  If you find a likely marriage of Thomas then you would need to order the certificate, specifying that the GRO should only issue a certificate if the spouse is Mary.

That's the best I can offer - have you checked later censuses to see if an in law was staying with them? You might get lucky! But I've just had a quick look at 1861-71 and there was no-one.

Regards
