Looking for Richard Rawson in the 1841 census. He would have been approx. 10 years old at the time of this census.
In the 1851 census, Richard was 20 and was enumerated as an apprentice blacksmith in the Joseph Salmon household, in the village of Hillocks. Richard's birthplace is listed as Ripley, Derbyshire.
Richard Rawson married Elizabeth (prob. Parkin) in 1852 per 1900 US census (St. Francois County, Missouri). Page 719 of the Civil Registration Index has a Richard Rawson and an Elizabeth Parkin listed (as well as a Job Birks) as being married in the quarter ending Jun 1852 in Belper, Derbyshire.
Joseph Salmon is also listed in White's 1857 Directory as a blacksmith in Green Hillocks.
Hoping that the 1841 census will give me clues as to Richard's parents' names.
