Deborah Fairey was born c1840 in Easton, daughter of John and Thomasin Fairey. She appears on the 1851 census for Easton with her family and on the 1861 for Gt Staughton, working as a dairymaid for Farmer John Bell on Manor Farm (so obviously isn't the Deborah Fairey who died in Hunts in 1858 ). In 1864 she is a witness at her brother Amos's wedding in Biggleswade. Then she disappears. Can anyone help me find either her marriage or her death, or even an entry on the 1871 census? Some of her siblings emigrated, others went to London, Beds or Northants. The name is sometimes spelled Fairy.

Hello again Gill
It is a long time since you asked this question (even longer ago than when we reminisced about going to the Pavilion Cinema in Rochdale !). You might now already know this, but just in case you don’t, there is another possible death entry in 1868 JAS quarter Huntingdon (3b 170) for a Deborah Fairey born abt 1839.

Hi DS
Yes, we've picked up on this death entry, and this is indeed my gt-gt-aunt Deborah.
Thanks very much for your help and interest.
Regards,
Gill
