Dear Sir/Madam
My name is Aaron Puckey, Auckland, New Zealand.  I have recently begun researching my family history.  I am a direct descendant of William Gilbert Puckey, originally of Penryn, Cornwall.  He was the original (first) emigrant to New Zealand.  His father was William Puckey.  I would be most interested in any information you could provide me.

Kind regards
Aaron Puckey

Hello Aaron ... many thanks for the reply.  I cannot help you much I am afraid ... I have a Percy PUCKEY son of Charles PUCKEY ... Percy was in the Navy ... other than that I know nothing.

Bright Blessings

Hi

my ancestors originated from Polperro (Forward) I have Joliffe and Puckey in my tree but only a handful.  I'm also a member of the Polperro FHS.  There's quite a few members with links to the names you're looking for.

Thanks Fiona ...
I am mostly interested in POND .... both the PUCKEY's and the JOLIFFE's married into this line.

I have been stuck with my POND's 'for ever' ... James POND was a schoolmaster in Polperro ... lived in Vine Cottage at Talland (from memory) he was also enumerator for the 1841 and 1851 census.  He married and Elizabeth ...somewhere at sometime ... Smiley ... I suspect it was Elizabeth Williams she was born in Breage (according to the census) ...

Bright Blessings
