I am looking for any information on Rome/Room/Roam Farm which was near Peel Common, Stubbington nr. Fareham, Hants. It was demolished around 1920 when the pumping station was built there. I am looking for any drawings or maps that would help, or if anyone knows the name of the last farmer to live there.

and type in Peel Common is the search box, you will get an image appear of the 1870-74 map of the area. Room is marked in the north west corner. You can zoom in and print the image (it doesn't look too good quality wise on screen) if you wish.
I have been trying to find out the answers to your other questions but there don't seem to be any references to it in the online catalogue from Hampshire Record office (via a2a site) and at the moment the historical directories site does not wish to respond to my query. Perhaps you would like to try it yourself: http://www.historicaldirectories.org
Thanks for your reply to this - I'd given up! Since posting the original message I have looked at the oldmaps site and located the village, but had not thought of trying the directories site. I'll have a look and see if I can get a result.
