1881 census HART/ Hurst
« on: Wednesday 17 November 04 06:01 UTC (UK) »

Hi all,

this is sort of an old topic but some kind hearted soul pressed on and found  (i think ) my family

In 1881 they are listed as HART not HURST as i wanted them to be,

As this person mentioned it could be a typo or sheer coincidence, so am wondering if someone can double check the census for the "Hart" family

Members are Thomas "Hart"     head    27    moulder (iron)
Ellen         "         wife      22    moulder wife
                      Margaret   "          dau     1
                      John W.      "        son      3

all born in Wigan Lancs and living in Northumd St

Thanks for your help guys

Dear Buttercup  Huh

I'm trying to figure out if you know more about this family and your'e not letting on? or you know very little and your'e hoping?

Are these people the right christian names and the right ages in 1881?
is it the right area in 1881?
Have you got them in 1901? if so what area?
Have you got them in 1891? if so what area?

Or do you just want to see if someone can turn Hart into Hurst ?

Bryant, what we really want is someone to look at the image as I think the transcription is wrong. The family match up to others by the name of Hurst in other census -exactly!! I found the Hart info on familysearch.
Thanks
