He was a Miller he stayed at Mill of Clackriach,Old Deer.
His First wife was Jane Thomson 2/ Barbara Ligertwood.
Other name's I have come across going through each Generation is Fowlie,Knox and Watt.
I am not looking for any information as I have lots on them,I am just looking to see if any one is researching this family.

Dont know if these are connected, but my Wilsons & Thom(p)sons in Aberdeen are as follows.

Peter McGrigor (no info at all) had a daughter Jane MacGregor. She was married in 1826 to John Wilson (no other info at all) . They had 3 daughters (listed in 1841 census) - Catherine (my gt gt grandmother), Jean and Agnes.

The 1826 marriage was registered at the Saint Nicholas Blotter And Scroll (is that a church?). In 1841 the Wilson family were living in Water Lane, Aberdeen (also mentions St Clements and Old Machar).

Jean Wilson is recorded in the IGI as having married Peter Williamson in 1843 and had 3 sons. Catherine married Mark Adamson  in 1846 and 2 children. She later married my gt gt grandfather John Thompson in Aberdeen, had 2 more children and they all emigrated to NZ.

And about my Thompsons if you want them - I have John Thompson born either 1830 or 1835 (I think he was telling porkies about his age when he married Catherine Adamson nee Wilson), son of Joseph Thompson and Mary Adam. Mary Adam's father was David Adam.

None of them are from Old Deer - so there is probably no connection - but you never know - this is for anyone else who might be interested or connected.  Grin

6. Erected to the memory of GEORGE CUMMING sometime in Little
Craigherbs
by his spouse and sons, who died May 17th 1822 aged 59 years. His

Yea one thing remains, it is hope's brilliant light,
To illumine the path where we may yet unite.
When the struggle on life's rolling billows are o'er,
And the victim of sorrow has ceased to deplore.

67. Erected by ANN WILSON in memory of her beloved husband JOHN
CUMMING
crofter Little Craigherbs, who died 2nd April 1880 aged 42 years; also
of
their daughter ELIZABETH who died 21st March 1875 aged 5 months; also
of
their son DONALD who died 27th May 1881 aged 3 years.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the
Son of
Man cometh.
