Ball/Lawton marriage

Can anyone help me, I'm stuck.  I'm trying to find info on my great grandparents.  I have my grandmother's birth certificate from 1904 which gives the details of her parents as follows:

Mother:  Catherine Bell (formerly Lawton)
Father:  John Bell, Engine Fitter (Journeyman)

My grandmother was born Birkenhead in the subdistrict of Tranmere.

I have no idea when or where they were born and when or where they married.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Grin

getting the cert will give both the fathers, and addresses at time of marriage, which hopefully will help find the families on the 1901 census
