Agnes Black From Lisburn Antrim
« on: Saturday 13 June 09 09:02 UTC (UK) »

I am trying to find any information about my Great Grandmother Agnes Black, according to the 1911 census she stated her place of birth as Lisburn Antrim, she was born about 1845. On her marriage certificate in Salford Lancashire she named her father as James Black occupation labourer. This is all I know about my G/Grandmother, and I am trying if possible to find out her mothers maiden name, I think that she was from a Catholic family.
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks Dave.

I would suggest you contact St. Joseph's chapel in Lisburn.

My lisburn ancestors were catholic also and were all married and buried here. If I can be of any more help, let me know!

Hi artygirl.
Thanks for the information Re: St Josephs Chapel, I will check with them to see if they can supply any information on my G/Grandmother Agnes Black or her family.
Regards Dave.
