Aghadoey
Help. My grandparents Anthony and Martha Watson and baby daughter Francis [that is the spelling used] are in the 1911 census, living at 22 Ballycollin, Derriaghy. Also in that census are James and Ealenor [wrong spelling] Watson living at 37 Lagmore, Derriaghy. My g'grandmother we called granny Ellen. How can I find out if the Lagmore Watsons were my g'grandparents. There are 7 offspring listed, some of whose names ring a bell with me. The two missing names Anthony and Samuel would confirm the relationship.
I have been trying for a few months and getting nowhere as Idon't know granny Ellen's maiden name.
If you can help it would be very much appreciated.

Looking for help researching Watsons in Lagmore, Lambeg and Colin areas of Derriaghy. My g'parents are in 1911 census and were married in Christ Church Derriaghy in 1909. I think g'grandparents are in same census living in Lambeg. Grandfather Anthony was very involved in the local Gospel Hall.

Probably the best way to confirm exactly who Anthony's parents were would be to get his birth certificate. Index to civil registration:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;t=searchable;c=1408347
There is a likely registration in Lisburn in 1886.
See here about ordering certificates:

Thanks aghadowey for replying so quickly, and apologies for the error in the wrong spelling of your name. Put it down to age. I admit I need guidence as I am a relatively new to computors. Your input is helpful, and I will now try to get a birth certificate. Thank you.

Don't worry about the spelling- Aghadoey is actually another old spelling of Aghadowey! Hopefully the birth certificate will give you more information to continue searching for the family.
