Hi All,

If someone is going to the archives please would you lookup the marriage of Gabriel Pigott (Piggott) to Elizabeth Houghton which was on the 9th July 1801 in Coveney, Cambs. Ideally im hoping to find out who Gabriel's father was as hope to prove a link between some Cambridge and Norfolk Pigott's

Hi Paula

An 1801 marriage entry is unlikely to show fathers' names - this wasn't included until civil registration started in 1837. Prior to that all the names that you get are bride and groom plus witnesses, who were not usually fathers. You might get that Gabriel was of the parish of xxxxx if he wasn't from Coveney
