Celia,
Wonderful! - His children were C of E, baptised in I think, St. Matthew's Bootle. I'm assuming he was too. His marriage was in St. Mary's Walton.

Ken I had a suspicion i would not find William in Rake lane and i was correct he isn't. The reason thought i might not find him is because he was married in Liverpool the children were christened there they are buried in Liverpool.William died in Birkenhead but lived Moreton wallasey.I looked in the poll book but didnt find him.I also looked in the death index for any entries in the newspaper for that date, there wasnt one. Seeing that he died in birkenhead i would have though if he had no family in rake lane and isnt with his wife in Liverpool. He might be in Landican or Flaybrick,if he isnt in any of those. Maybe he was cremated

Celia,
You have been VERY thorough and done far more than I could have expected. Thanks for eliminating all those possibilities. You are performing a very helpful and charitable service - so thanks again for your effort.

Hi sandy I have been going to the library most weeks for the last six years.I have been a member for over 40 years I know about the maps i have been using them about 3 years now. They were only compleated last year i think, I met the wonderful couple responsible for that.I think they should have been rewarded in some way it is unbelievable that one couple should spend every summer standing in holes

Hi Celia thanks for your letter, I totally agree with you, any ideas how i can find if my andersons and page are buriel in rake lane, James anderson was a gunner in the royal artillery station at the new brighton fort called Perch Rock or the Liverpool Battery in 1840 - 1846 he marriaed a Sarah Page in liverpool, their daughter also called Sarah was born inside the fort, these details are taken of Liscard Indepant Chapel books from Earlston Rd Liberary and from her birth certifcate. Her parents deaths and buriels are yet to be found.
