Mullaney 1841 census
« on: Wednesday 09 November 05 14:19 UTC (UK) »

I have relatives who I believe are from Sligo. Their names are Martin and Bridget Mullaney.  They moved to Manchester around 1851 but would be interested to see if there is any reference to them on the 1841 census.  I imagine their dates of birth would be as follows: Martin - 1801 and Bridget 1823.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Blue-Sten

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you had a look at all the usual general resources I tend to suggest?  Wink

You could also look at these Sligo specific sites which may help.

Perhaps you would like to have a look at these resources to see if there is anything that might help you.

Please come back with any further queries or to let us know how you get on.

Best wishes

Thanks. Looked at all the general ones but not the sligo-specific ones. I will have a look and see if i can find anything.

I don't even know where in Sligo they were from so it's a bit of a needle in a haystack. However I firmly believe that the impossible can be possible - just returned from Galway where I visited the exact piece of land where my other Irish side once had an estate! A librarian in dunmore had located it for me and met up with me when I got there to show me the site!
