searching for decendants of colin finnie b. 1808 paisley

im trying to put my family tree together.  Searching for decendants of Colin Finnie b. 1808 in Paisley, d. 1858 in Neilston.  He had two marriages - 1830 and unknown.  Had 9 children.  If you can help i would be extremely greatful.  regards Izabel

Not sure if this will help but thought to add it to the mix-

I found MI's in Abbey Paisley Churchyard that may be applicable:

Jas Fennie 2.2.1786, w Mary Houston 14.11.1789, SON Colin (W Eliz McGibbon 30.10.1780)

Claud Finnie weaver Paisley.1786

Hi

IGI has the following births @ Neilston :

06/01/1856 - Isabella, parents Colin Finnie/Janet Dunlop

14/04/1858 - Janet, parents Colin Finnie/Janet Dunlop

The birth certificate of latter child has father, a bleacher, deceased.

For copies of the 1841 and 1851 census you could try contacting the family history society that covers this area....

hi ysabeau.  i cannot thank you enough.  these dates match the years of birth i have for isabella and janet in my family tree.  i have been at this tracing for 3 years now and i cannot believe how much inormation has been given on this site.  Thank you so much for responding.  i now have a spouse name which may help me to trace the rest of the family.  These two were from 5 children.  once again a huge thank you

There is a database of the 1851 census for Barrhead & Neilston online at
http://www.barrhead-scotland.com/Culture/history/1851census.asp
although if they were in eastwood at this time this online census would not cover them
