plumstead Lewisham Kent census look up please

I'm looking for Henry Charles Pynn born 1835 woolwich kent who married Eliza Pickering on july 9 1859 in charlton lewisham.His father was John Henry Pynn,I would like to find any info about john such as who his wife was and where he was born.
I know it's alot to ask but any help would be great

The only address i have is 6 crop street plumstead where henry and eliza were living in 1861.

Since Charles Pynn is local, then I'd request a lookup in the 1851 name index. I have Woolwich (on fiche- but no reader) and someone else on here has Lewisham in book form.

I'll ask her to check hers first. I Can't get to the library for a week or two.

Hi Paula

Pauline told me about your search.

No sign of your PYNN family in Lewisham in 1851. I looked under PYNN/ PYNE/ PINE and PINES. The only John under any of those spellings was aged 13.

Maybe it would be worth ordering the 1841 film for Woolwich from the LDS centre and searching through for PYNNS. Maybe Woolwich wasn't too big in those days!

Hi, Thanks everone for looking.
I don't think that the Henry Charles pynn on the IGI is the right one because i have Henry charles pynn's wedding cert and it states his father as john henry pynn.which is probably right because of the name henry as a link.any more help please?

Pynn or variant does not show up the either the Woolwich or Deptford 1851 census index.

I think that just leaves E&W Greenwich. Try the "Kent lookup exchange". Double-check on www.nwkfhs.org(.uk?) for maps and explanations.

The greenwich Heritage centre has an 1841 name index on cards. If you ask nicely they may check the two woolwich pieces for you.

yes  I'm still looking  Roll Eyes but without much luck.

I've come to the conclusion that john thomas pynn and Charlotte must be his parents and not the john henry pynn on his marriage cert.
john thomas died 8 DEC 1833 age 29 from Charles street woolwich.
as yet i can't find henry or Charlotte in 1841 1851 or 1861.
any idea's greatly recieved
