These are my surname interests for Warwickshire:
YOUARD, WILKES, MEDDINGS, SMITH (Thomas b. approx 1779 convicted and transported to Australia). (+ all VARs.)

Hi,
      I am researching a wilkes/wilks family in Birmingham.Thomas wilkes married an Alice Davies in 1907.They had seven children one of which was my father. My father moved to Australia in 1926. Thomas was previously married to a Mary Ann Wilkes and they had nine children.In 1901 they lived at 56 Princip St Birmingham.Any connection to your Wilkes?    Thanks Gary

Sorry Gary ... can't help you there ... mine are from the 1830 (see my website) ... Henry Wilks/Wilkes born 1837 came to Western Australia sometime before 1865 which is when he married Agnes MOTTERSHEAD who I think was from Manchester.
