Please Help!
I need to verify the right certificate before I order and have it shipped to me in the states.
My great grandparents were George and Margaret(edwards) Sargeant. Lancashire BMD shows the marriage in 1893 at St Simon's in Liverpool.
I can't find anything on St Simon's in Liverpool online so I don't know if it still exists. I'm trying to verify all of the info on the certificate before ordering it and a few others that I need.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for the information.
You'll have to forgive me as I'm a novice to researching my genealogy in the UK.
Both of these churches do appear to be a long distance from Liverpool, if one of these were the correct church would the Lancashire BMD still hold the marriage record information? I know George and Margaret settled in Liverpool and my grandfather was born there a few years after they were married. As I said I'm new to my English side and it's more difficult for me to trace as I'm in the US.
Thanks again for your help, I'll try calling these churches to see if they have any records.

HI,
I've just seen your request about St Simons church in Liverpool.
Liverpool record office hold the records, if you can wait until next week I will check out the entries for 1893, and I'll get you a copy of the marriage certificate.
St Simons was in the Pembroke Street area of Liverpool and a few of my ancestors were married there,
Have you got any details of the grooms occupation so I can cross match and Make sure it's the right one.

Thanks so much for your help. Unfortunately I do not know George's occupation in 1893. When my grandfather was born in 1900, George was a "van driver" as listed on the birth certificate. I was able to find somewhere that the marriage was in the June quarter so I'm assuming April-June of 1893.

I received some info from a relative today that George was born abt 1858 and was quite a bit older than Margaret. I don't know if that will help when you're looking but I thought I'd pass it on.
