Hi - Could someone please let me know if there are any Wessons in the 1841 census for Blaby. I'm particularly looking for a Walter Wesson, although any would be helpful.

Hi Mike

Many Many thanks for your efforts - I know that in 1845 there was a birth in Blaby of a William Wesson who then later went to Wales. I have sent off for the certificate, I think his father was Walter - hopefully I'll get the address in the district then so I can be more precise in my request. I'm planning a visit to the Leicester records office soon. Walter Wesson is extremely difficult to track down, he was a jockey in the 1840s and I believe might have spent a lot of time living near the old leicester racecourse
