Charles BULLBROOK Mitchell..From Kent to Jamieson,Victoria...1833 to 1876

Hi Folks,

Charles Bullbrook Mitchell from Gillingham,Kent married Mary Anne Cooke in 1868 while living in Victoria,Australia.It seems that both Mary and her newly married sister/cousin  Ellen Marina Mitchell nee Cooke came to Australia in 1853 on the LADY FLORA.

According to the records Charles and Mary produced 10 girls from 1858 to 1876 and both lived out their final days in Jamieson,Victoria.The last 2 daughters were twins and were born in Jamieson,Victoria,1876.

At least six of their chlidren lived into the 1940's through to the 1960's and some were buried in the Jamieson - Mansfield area here in Victoria.

I have followed at least six of their children to the grave and these are the married surnames of each daughter.....Dale,Kelson,Sparrow,Chandler,Board and Stuart.

Many of the exploits of this large family have been acurately recorded  by a dedicated and respected author here in Australia
