Using the census I've identified the following people born Rushbury:

Edward JONES c1773
William JONES c1778
Edward JONES c1786
Thomas JONES c1794
Matthew JONES c1802
John JONES c1803
Richard JONES c1809
Samuel JONES c1811
William JONES c1813 - my g.g.grandfather

If anyone has a bit of stamina could they check these out for me please?   In particular I want to know which are William's brothers, if there are any sisters and who his parents were.

The Rushbury baptisms are on the online IGI (1538 to 1812), Batch number C132821  www.familysearch.org

It might be worth checking for baptisms of the earlier ones on that.

I tried the IGI but although there were quite a few JONES entries not one matched the people I have found on the census, which is quite bizarre as I expected at least some of them to be there.

PS - not quite true as looking again there was a Thomas JONES bapt 13.3.1796 who isn't that far off, so could be him but then where are the others?

I'm fairly sure that Thomas and Samuel c1811 are brothers of  William JONES c1813 as I think I've found two of his sons visiting them.
