Other Familie's that are branched out from my Direct airey Line are Elizabeth Jackson who married William Airey, & the Gilpin clan is also within my direct line, from what i was told.
I have been given information on the Airey's that takes me back to the 16 and 1700's that could be about the 15th & 16th century, or the 17th & 18th Century, i'm not sure because i haven't really looked into what era, or year of what century, each year belong's to.
Hi I am descended from a John Airey born at Shap in 1768, he married Sarah Taylor at Lindale Church nr. Cartmel, children were John b1810 Thomas b.1812, William and Agnes (twins) Jane b. 1817, George b. 1822, and Robert b.1826. John Airey (son) married Ellen Crow of Cartmel Fell, they died at Lindal in Furness having had six children the eldest being Jacob. Any help?
are your Airey's from the Westmorland/Cumberland/Cumbria area, if so then there may be a connection, I descend from Hannah Airey who married into my Martindale lineage.
Hi genebug, there maybe a connection as Shap is in Westmorland. I don't know how many siblings John Airey had, but he was definately born in 1768, his parents could have been John and Agnes Airey. Mgt37
Hi I was wondering if you have any Gawin Airey's in your Family tree, because that is where i have traced my airey line back to, i have also been told that my branch of Airey's connect's to the Gilpin/Gylpyn line.
Hi Is there a way for me to personally send you an email, because at this present time, i'm trying to get in touch with Airey/Gilpin descendant's so i can piece together the Airey puzzle, and pass the email addresse's on to a few cousin's that i have found through genes reunited, and just by a fluke.
