Could someone with local knowledge of the Hockerill area please tell me  what  kind of School, the  Hockerill Training School for Mistresses was  Huh Huh  and when did it open and close.  Thanks

It was a teacher training school from around 1850 until 1978 when it became a girls boarding school.  In 1994 it became a co-ed Anglo-European School which is hheld to be of high repute.

Thanks for the information, what an interesting name  for a teachers training college, the mind boggles.The buildings still look very much as they would have originally I presume, pity there isn't  more history about the school as it was back then, will have to look around and see what else I can find. Thanks.
