What to do next with entry found?

Hi everyone, can you help me with this I found an entry on Ancestry.com that goes like this

England Canterbury- wills proved in the Perogative Court of Canterbury, 1653 - 1656.

County    Gen

Country   England

Smith, Thomas yeo., Stanton. Ellastone , Staff   1656 100

I presume this is the will of thomas Smith of Stanton.

How can I find out more and bear in mind I don't live in England.

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

This will is available from www.documentsonline.nationalarchives.gov.uk

In England it costs £3.50
I am not sure how you pay if you are abroad but I'm sure if you look around the site it will tell you.  Otherwise you may have to contact the PRO

Just go to documents on line.  Search for the will.  When you find it, just follow the prompts.  You can pay by credit card & download there & then!

Thanks for the info. I went to the site and  yes there it was for £3.50 but it is only for credit card users there is no other way of payment. I unfortunately don't have a credit card.  So I have sent an email to them to see if they will bend the rules and I will let you know how I get on.

Hi Anjo,
I doubt whether they will 'bend the rules' but it's worth asking!
An alternative would be to ask a friend or relative to use their card and pay them back in cash Wink Or look into the possiblitites of a credit or debit card for yourself, if you're eligable!  Where there's a will, there's a way Grin  Sorry for the pun,

I Have just received notification that my email is being processed and they will have an answer "Shortly" for me.
Fingers crossed.

I wont be getting a credit card, as I don't agree with them in principle. And I certainly wont be getting one just to use on this site. If I can't get them to change their mind on payment I will have to see if someone else can get it for me. Thanks for all your help.
