Lyall's of Lowick

Can anyone tell me anything about the Lyall family of Lowick. My gt grandmother was Jane Lyall b 1837 at Newton-by-the-sea and her father was John Lyall b 1801 at Lowick. I have a contact who has an ancestor Robert Lyall b 1806 at Lowick but we do not know if they are related.
