I think have found your Elijahs!!!
I have birth certificate of Elijah MORRISON b.28 JAN Birdston, Campsie, Stirling ( near Kirkintilloch!!). This was where my grandparents lived also Morrison but I dont think related...
Parents were Elijah MORRISON Ship Steward and Barbara MORRISON ms MILLIGAN marr. 21 NOV 1892 Glasgow.
I also have another Elijah MORRISON b 1 MAR 1862 31 Salisbury Street Glasgow.
Parents were Robert MORRISON Cartwright Journeyman and Elizabeth MORRISON ms TURNER they were married on 28 Dec 1860.

If you look on the map you will see that Birdston and Lennoxtown are very close to Kirkintilloch. Birdston was a hospital which my gran worked in when she was living in Kirkintilloch

I think my mother is the Veronica O'Shaughnessy you are looking for. She was born 1944 in Scotland. Her mother was Marion Bryce Morrison and her father was Stanley O'Shaughnessy. We knew her to have a brother named Stanley, and two older sisters named Barbara & Marion.
