Looking for the family of George HIGGERSON transported to Australia in 1797 for stealing a horse. Looking for his parents, siblings or any connection to the name. He said he came from Middlesex.

It seems that we have a common ancestor. Mine by marriage.
We are aware that George Higgerson, (Higgison), born circa 1767, arrived in Australia in 1797, on the Ganges. Didn't know that he was a convict, or his crime, so that is interesting. He was married to Ann Smith, one child, George, b. 3. Sept 1805. Second marriage to Mary Newbury in 1810. We are aware of 6 children, and think that John was his first child by this marriage.
There are a number of anomalies in data provided on various certificates, related to John's actual age. We now feel satisfied that he was born in 1810, married (1) in 1842 to Sarah Ann Dean (7 children); married (2) in 1863 to Ellen Dean (14 children), d. 1905
George Higgerson's other children:
Rosanna b. 1 Mar 1812 d. 12 May 1812 Sydney Joseph b. 8 Jul 1813 Sydney Ann b. circa 1816 George b. 12 Jan 1824 Sydney m. 14 Mar 1848 9 children d. 27 Sept 1903 Sarah b. circa 1826
My husband is a direct descendant of George, through John, Clement Dean b. 1876, and Frank b. 1911 (he is the only surviving son of Frank). My husband has four sons. and now one grandson, thus continuing the name for a little while longer.
Hope that this is helpful. There are a few other names, dates etc, if you are interested. If you have additional information, we would find it interesting, of course.
