« on: Monday 21 November 05 00:19 GMT (UK) »

Dear Members,

Can anyone please assist me in finding the Birth Record of -

John Howden HELEY

John emigrated to Australia before 1885, where he married Mary Matilda GREENSILL.

Any snippet on John or his family will be greatly appreciated.

With sincere thanks

Hi Bruce

Do Australian marriage certificates, like English ones, give father's name? If so do you have it? Trying to pin him down using censuses.

Is there a Bedfordshire connection?

Regards

Hello David,

Thank you for your interest:  I lost your reply and have finally foound it again.

I do not have a positive link to Bedfordshire at this stage.  Also, Queensland archives are not the World's best!!  many, many complaints......

I will persevere with my researching.

Thank you once again

Regards
