Could you clarify what kind of a lookup you are asking for - BMD/census/christening etc
She should be on the 1881 census which you can search yourself for free at www.familysearch.org

If you have only looked for her birth on the free online websites, these are nowhere near complete. The marriage reference you found will not list her fathers name - you have to buy a copy of the marriage cert to get that info.
You should be able to find her on the 1881 census with her parents - www.familysearch.org
The full GRO indexes can be searched for free at your local main reference library- usually in the local studies department - or at your nearest LDS family history centre.

Yes indeed - Illegitimacy was a very big stigma in those days and she may have found it difficult to get employment in a household if they knew her background
One child - ok - but 4!!
