1851 Great Canfield

Does anybody know for definate if the 1851 Great Canfield census is lost / destroyed.  I have a James Fewell in 1841 and a James Fewell in 1861 and I'm almost certain they are the same person, but I need the 1851 to be sure.

Then lists piece 1785 Essex and all the parishes in Dunmow district.

This is not just Ancestry problem.

I have 1851 CD and 1851 Index.  None have the Dunmow parishes.
