Birth lookup for Elizabeth Aitchison on her marriage November 1901 she was 20 and her father was called John he was a miner I have searched for her birth in Northumberland where she spent her whole life but no joy, then thought she might be Scottish Berwick, I know the boarder changed several times. I also couldn't find her on the 1891 census or 1901 so this would explain it. Did search Scotlandspeople there were a few good matches but for some reason it took my credits and showed a blank page, I will have to write to them. Many thanks irret Cool

Terri,
   Doing a free search on scotlandspeople brings up five 'Elizabeth Aitchison' born in Berwick between 1880 and 1882.  Was she married in Scotland or England?  There is an Elizabeth in 1901 English census aged 19 born Newsham, Northumberland,  could she be yours? Or maybe that's the one you have found and dismissed.
