DALZIEL James married Catharine??

I am searching for James Dalziel who married a Catharine/Catherine UNK. Their son James Dalziel was born at Thornhill about 1834 ( according to his marriage cert in 1858 in Victoria Australia)  Cannot find any Dumfries info on him,  or his arrival in Australia, or his family in Scotland.
Any help GREATLY appreciated.His marriage cert has spelling Dalzel, but continually used Dalziel afterwards.
