Aughnacloy in Carnteel Parish - help!!
« on: Friday 25 November 05 14:45 UTC (UK) »

I have traced our Muldoon families back to Aughnacloy within the Canteel Parish in Tyrone.  Now I am stuck!  Huh  The following Roman Catholic marriage (I think it was RC anyways) was as follows

Patrick Muldoon & Sarah Ann Carroll 1854

They stayed in Ireland until teh early 1870s when they then moved to Scotland.

How do I find this marriage and their baptisms, and childrens baptisms?  If anyone can provide any info or set me on the right path I would be most grateful.

Thanks guys!  Smiley Smiley

Hi,
According to Emerald Ancestors the list of births above from Hallmark are to Patrick Muldoon and Sarah McNabb and the baptisms took place in Dromore Roman Catholic Church. He is correct when he says that they may not be yours

Hi folk’s.

If anyone is available to help I’d be ever so be grateful for it!

My maternal Great grandparent’s where from Tyrone, and I only have the most basic details.

My G Grandfather was a Farmer/ Miller (? 3 mills), called John HAMILTON born? 06/06/1878 in or around Plumbridge, Tyrone.
John converted to the Roman Catholic faith to marry Mary – Ann McCULLAGH and then treated like a pariah by his family

John and Mary-Ann had ten children:

Joseph (the oldest, born 1908 at Tulloughmohr, Fintona, Tyrone.)
John, Patrick, Gerard, William, Teresa, Ann, Mary,
Michael & Lawrence (I don’t know the birth order).

Joseph then married Patricia Isabel McGaughey, D.O.B. 15/03/1908, born in Dromore. Tyrone. Patricia’s parents where John McGAUGHEY &? Kathleen MULDOON.

If anyone has links to these names, I’d love to hear off you!

Regards Nicky.
