Millers of Bridport Dorset England.

Hi interested to hear from anyone with links to the Miller surname in Bridport Dorset.

My Gx2 Grandad was a George Miller born in Bridport Dorset, He moved to Swansea in S.Wales UK, and married a Catherine Thomas, where he remained until his death. His father was also a George Miller Mother?,

It was said that these Miller's were hauliers of Portland Stone.

I can give more details of the Miller's in the Swansea area not so much on the Dorset region. If you are interested you will find a link to my personal website within my profile

My Great Grandmother was a Miller of Nettlecombe Bridport
Mary Ann Miller lived in Portland Dorset Born 1848
Her Father was Henry born 1797 Married Sarah
Henry 's father was Henry born 1768 married Sarah Bridle 10/09/1794 in Powerstock
His Father was Edward born 1744 Married Sarah
His father was George Married Elizabeth Foord 16/11/1743 I think these are all Powerstock
Mary Ann Harriet Miller Married Henry William Cawley of Beer Devon

I entered "miller bridport" and "search for all words" and found 125 hits.
Maybe some of yours', too ?

I have infact used this site (and it is excellent) but not for my Millers, I have used it for my Cann's (also in this region).
Thanks for that I will do a Miller search in a mo!
