Hi Geoff,
I don't know whether this will help you but you may be able to point me in the right direction. I am researching a Bennett family and have come across the marriage of Richard Garland and Ann Budden. Richard had a son George Richard Garland who emigrated to Australia and information concerning his marriage to Ellen Amelia Ferrif/Ferris was found in a family bible. This Garland family appears to have been from Bothenhampton in Dorset. If you have any information concerning a connection with Bennett in either Garland or Budden, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

The marriage is almost certainly right.
Kathleen Thirza I Shilcock was born in 13 Aug 1909 according to her death entry.
Kathleen Thirza I White's birth was registered in Sep 1909 (Poole 5a 239).
Her mother Thirza Margaret Budden appears in the 1901 census but there are no Hugh Whites in the area apart from one that is probably too young and not born in Ireland (Hugh Fortescue B White b Dec 1891 Grantham).
The birth certificate will, of course, give Kathleen's father's name.
Do you know where they were in 1911? - I can't find them on the census which would give Hugh's birthplace. There is a White/Budden birth in Portsmouth in 1912 (followed by Axminster ones in 1913/16) but I don't know whether that is the same family.

Do you know that she had any descendants?
She married Roland S(eaton) Shilcock (b1898) in Jun 1936 (Bournemouth 2b 1908).
The birth index doesn't appear to have any Shilcock/White births.
Perhaps he died in the war,
