hiya lesanne, the royal field artillery was made up of hundreds of units, and the same for the army service corps, your g/father would have been in a local army service corps unit in his area,i checked his card and it says he was in a transport unit of the ASC,this could be the supply column for the RFA he transferred too, what area was he living in when the war started, mack

lesanne, the RFA territorial unit for the berkshire area was the 10th battery, their HQ was at yeomanry house, castle hill, reading.the ammunition column for the battery was the 2nd south midland mounted brigade, the battery was under the command of major c.g mayall, and the ammo column under captain s.j dubourg,if your g/father was a territorial before the war, then you are likely to find him in this formation.post his medal card on the great war forum, and ask if anyone has any reference of him in this formation, its your best chance of finding him, good luck, mack

Thanks Mack, So much info, I never would of found. I shall try and post it, as most folks now know, I'm not that clever with Copy/paste techno, but hey, no-one can say I won't give it a go.
I shall try to find a picture of the yeomanry house, castle hill. If it hasn't been pulled down to make way for new roads !! There could be someone with a photo of the group.
The 10th Battery, 2nd South Midland Mounted. Is this what it would be called ??
Thanks again for your time, Mack. Lesanne.
