Looking for a Dr Samuel BEECROFT and wife Sarah nee BLOOR in the 1861 census.

Samuel born 1820 Knutsford Cheshire
Sarah born 1830 Manchester

Children:
Mary 1854
Katherine 1856
Caroline 1857
Alice 1859
Emily abt 1861

1851 she was in Manchester
Married in 1854 Manchester
1871 they were both in Cheshire

Any ideas??
No luck in Lancs so thought Cheshire is next point of call.
Thanks in advance.

Doctors can't just disappear and then reappear again can they?? He was a surgeon and fellow - maybe studying for that or whatever is involved I have no idea. His family have to be somewhere too don't you think??

I have done an all counties christian name only search on Samuel, Alice and Caroline and it comes up with nothing - sorry

Thanks for that. I've had no luck at all with them. Do you have any other suggestions?

They had relatives in America so maybe they were out of the country at some stage?
They have to be somewhere I suppose.

Hi Lilygirl

I have now been through the whole of Hyde 1861 and your Dr. Samuel and Sarah Beecroft and family are definitely not there.  However there are at least two Folio's missing...it says Folio Not Present On Original Film...and unfortunately one of these has part of Hyde Lane and Church Street on it.  So if they were living on Church Street 1861 then sadly they must have been on the missing folio.

Sorry I couldn't find them.
