where to search for a will 1935 COMPLETE THANKYOU

Could anyone tell me where to search for the will of someone born on Scotland but spent most of his life in Northumberland and died there in 1935 age 91 I have searched Ancestry no show will I have to travel and where?

Feeling sorry for you as you've not had an answer Sad  I would think that you might need to look for it at The National Archives at Kew or York.  You can search on the National Archives site (do a Google search to find it) & check that out.  As an alternative post this request on the Northumberland board, I'm sure they will advise you,

The probate office in Holborn has the indexes for wills - if you can get there you can look through them for free, but have to pay to see the actual will

Thank you for that, my husband has got Wednesday off so is going to take me, I'm hopeless on trains no sense of direction only hope it's there after all that !!! Wink
