Thankyou for the info Mike! This does seem the correct death records for William, as I had him living at Abbey St, from the Census records. Seems you also gave me a death record of one of his children too - Eliza - I had her listed as born 1835. A would love a more detailed report, thankyou. His other children were - Edward Owen b 1834, Thos b. ? , Eliza b 1835, Willm b 1839, and Mary b 1843.
Seems many of my family were listed as 'framer w. knitter', is there a site, or book with more information on occupations in Leicester in regards to this trade? I would just be interested.
Again, many thanks and hope you enjoyed your Easter.
I’ll check out those Marriage details from the register’s for you And report back on this thread.
Umm ?.... Just wonder if the Thomas burial below your William is his Son ? Green Street is the next Street to Abbey Street. Plus the age on death matches to your birth year ? given.

Hi Mike Thanks for all the information! I had thought they only had five children (going by census records 1841 and 1851). I am wondering why they choose to name two children Mary Ann and two children William - your thoughts? I did have Eliza as being baptised at Renfrew in Scotland, so not sure now if this is correct information, and if she belongs to this family. Yes, the death record of Thomas does coincide - I didn't know Green St was next to Abbey St. It is so hard to find records dating back so far when you live 'Down Under' in Australia, so I really do appreciate all the info!
Were there is two children with the same names Usually indicates the first one died ? Or there is TWO families with William & Sarah as parents……..
My list was compiled via an Index disk which only gave Names of parents. Plus Ref No. of the Fiches on which they featured…
I’ll have a better idea once I see the Baptism Registers. These usually give names, address plus occupation of Father. Which will help eliminate or confirm that there was indeed two families. …
