Hi Bob,
Thought you'd like to know that I'm 'doing my bit' to inform and encourage potential RootsChatters.

Hi MA,
Dick Eastman's article is already in our "Public Eye" page
We have been and are still collecting any examples where RootsChat gets mentioned in other media, in particular, when it is not something that RootsChatters have written.
So, Everybody, the next time your local paper or radio station asks you for an interview, please let us know
Bob

Can I wake him up, Mum?

I was interviewed by a reporter from our regional newspaper The Times (based in Victor Harbor, South Australia) recently for a profile article about my interest in Family History. Amongst many other things, I talked quite a bit about Rootschat and some of the wonderful success stories.
The article was published today, and Rootschat did get mentioned......not quite as much as I'd hoped, or quite in the way I had hoped, but it was a postitive mention.
Here's the snippet......

Well done dee
I mention Rootschat quite often to people. A lovely lady I met on another site years ago, her OH was one of my descendants. After 30 years search, there was one elusive person we were searching for, we had an idea he had perhaps moved to Cornwall from NZ.
Well, thanks to Rootschat, I entered his name on the board, and thanks to a wonderful mod, who helped me, I got results. Unfortunately, my wonderful lady, died two years ago, and I am sure she would have been delighted with the results.
Thank you for a wonderful site, because of you I have to have my daily dose of Rootschat.
Cheers KHP
